My current skincare routine featuring tretinoin (retin-a), vitamin c, AHA (glycolic), face wash and moisturizers. How to choose the right anti-aging products for your skin based on dermatologist advise and research.
AM Routine
Wash: CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser
Treat: Timeless C+E Ferulic Serum (for lightening age spots & hyper pigmentation)
Moisturize: Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream
Protect: Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunblock SPF 70
PM Routine:
Every Night:
Wash: CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser
Treat Eyes: Roc Multi-Correction Eye Cream with Retinol
Moisturize: CeraVe PM Lotion
Treat: nights 1 & 5: Wait 20 minutes & apply: 0.05% Tretinoin Cream (prescription) for fine lines & wrinkles & building collagen. Start out 1 night a week and build up over 2-3 months to every night if possible.
I alternate Topix Replinix 5% Retinol Cream and Resist 5% AHA Cream, on the other 4 nights, but only because I’m using it up, so if you do just retina-a, you would moisturize 4 nights and apply retina-a 2 nights, building up to 7 nights if possible.

Okay, going to …
Okay, going to share this. Last night on a whim I put on the Dermasil original Dry skin treatment on my face before bed. it’s hypoallergenic, says its a skin lipid and EFA treatment. I cannot believe how plump and soft..and filled in my facial lines are just over night. As nuts as it sounds I had to pass this on. My skin has not looked this plump and hydrated in years. I’m 49. I’ts also cruetly free and no animal testing. Even crazier thing is its at the dollartree.

That’s interesting. …
That’s interesting… I’m always dismayed that you’re not supposed to apply the wrinkle creams where you really need them the most… although, I can tell you that the retina-a does transfer to other parts of your face, evidenced by an eyebrow waxing that ripped most of the skin off my outer eyelid because of the retin-a… (had a lovely scab there for weeks).

..- My under eyes …
..- My under eyes have benefited the most out of Retin A I feel. I used to have darker tones under my eyes, which have completely gone and I have noticed a lot of plumping of the skin, no lines, no wrinkles. Anyway – Vitamin C. I have just started to incorporate it, using every morning. So far I’ve noticed a change in the skin texture, I’m looking forward to seeing the ‘brightness’. So our routine is very similar. Retin A, I applied every other day until skin got used to it, I was red!

Hi, great video! …
Hi, great video! You’re super engaging. I have been using Retin-A now for 3 years and it is the best and most efficient product. My skin has changed entirely and I am constantly complimented for it. I do however take it right up to my lower lash line, so all under my eyes and also on my brow bone. Obliviously this is just my experience, but I didn’t have any more irritation than usual under there and it means I haven’t had to use any extra eye products. -Continued-…

HI Deri~ I haven’t …
HI Deri~ I haven’t used the Obagi line personally, but I have a friend who uses it. She loves it, but from my perspective it seems really harsh and also pretty expensive. She did their 18 week peel treatment and she was peeling every day for the full 18 weeks (that’s 4 1/2 Months!!). Her face was red and she was embarrassed to go out in public. It’s a big commitment. Her skin did look good after, but she has to do it again soon.

That’s a great idea …
That’s a great idea! I only use my finger tips to apply my creams and lotions, so I’m not wasting it on my palms… just dot it around, and then spread, but I have a huge supply of rubber gloves for cooking, so I’ll take some upstairs to the bathroom for applying serums too!!

Yes, the Olay in the jar is ok because it’s just a moisturizer, it doesn’t have any ingredients that oxidize or become ineffective from exposure to air.
